We’re going to Melbourne!

It’s kind of exciting because this will be our first time to Australia! We choose Melbourne over Perth because hiaopopo thinks that Perth might be too boring for her. We are looking forward to visit the most populous city in Australian state of Victoria! Oh god… Queen Victoria Market, Great Ocean Road…
We have been trying to book promotional flights to Melbourne. A non-promotional flight to Melbourne can easily cost S$1,000 for non-transit airline! We were not able to find any discounted flights during the period we would love to travel. In fact, we shifted our dates because our original travel dates seem to be clashing with Australia school holidays. But that doesn’t help in getting a promotional flight to the city.
Fortunately, we managed to book our flights with Scoot at $570/pax due to April’s Fool promotion! It is considered as a very good deal because it is a non-transit flight. To be honest, Scoot offers quite a good in-flight experience. The seats are quite decent and the service isn’t that bad.
Unfortunately, we could not find any good credit card promotions for flight. In the end, we used DBS altitude to pay the bill to earn some mini miles.
We are in the midst of preparing our itinerary! Also, we are building up a list of to-do and to-bring list for the trip. Hopefully this list can be recycled whenever we are flying to somewhere!
